Shiba Inu back from the brink

After WWII Shiba Inu became one of the rarest dogs to find in japan and for some parts of the word still hard to find today. This is one of the oldest breeds of dogs tracing back to 3rd century B.C, but during the frequent bombings in Japan during WWII these dogs went from a heavy population of wild dogs to the champion breed of dogs. Before these dogs roamed japan, but after bombings they were almost extict until the fame of this dog Hachikō gained popularity and notice to the Akita Inu, the also dying relative (much bigger) to the Shiba. The Akita today still go for about 1500+ for a puppy, and well worth it, they make the greatest of guard dogs and are very playful but arent wildly energetic. Hachiko is were one of the three remaining breeds began from, after his master died out of town, Hachiko waited nine years at a train station for his master to return home, and since he is the base line to pretty much every Akita and even some Shiba they are known to carry his loyalty as their biggest trait. This is probably one of the greatest breed of dogs ever hints why theyre one of the oldest in the world.
